Gospel of John - John 1,1. This is the first Count Art painting from 1994, so to speak the prototype of Count Art. With this painting the counting of brush strokes had consequently been carried out the first time.

Course of action: The Hebrew word „In the Beginning“ has the letters Beth-Resch-Aleph Schin-Jod-Taw. The figure equivalents of the letters are 2-200-1 300-10-400 and they constitute the number of the paint strokes with different colours over the wet blue background. In the centre 2 directions are suggested to 1 point and they are surrounded by 200 yellow strokes. The above erea of the canvas contains 300 strokes with dark ocre, the yellow strokes are surrounded by 10 green strokes and the lower area of the canvas contains 400 pink strokes. This sequence of brush stokes means the Hebrew word "bereschith" or In the Beginning.
